THE MOSS BROTHERS BAND
MONARCH JUBILEE…
“extending the brotherhood!”

red…all things must have a beginning. In the case of The Moss Brothers, it started humbly down a red clay dirt road in the backwoods of Alabama. The seed? A father who was a huge Johnny Cash fan and a family that was very musical to boot. This family helped breathe music into their souls. Often having nothing else to do than sit on their porch and play music, the ghosts of Lynyrd Skynryd echoed throughout their endless jam sessions.   While other kids were out playing flag football and having BB gun wars…Troy and Jeff were teaching one another how to play guitar, bass and mandolin. As they grew older, few things changed… drinking whiskey, smoking and countless hours of jamming, they got tight as musicians…but even tighter as friends and family! These became known as FAM-JAMS!

Jeff-Troy-The-Moss-Brothers-Band…Thirty-four years ago Jeff and Troy started their first band. Between now and then, they have developed a very loyal fan base bringing their “FAM-JAM SHOWS” to their audiences every night. It is still not uncommon for fans to approach them and discuss the fact that they haven’t spoken to their family in years…and that their music resonated with them in a way that made them want to reach out to that family. In the case of The Moss Brothers, they continue to create new music because it brings them back to family, friends and love. Their newest album is about coming full circle…Monarch Jubilee is the culmination of three decades of FAM-JAMS.

MBRO-1CMYKfinal…loosely defined…a Monarch is a person who reigns over a kingdom or empire and Jubilee is a special anniversary of an event.   The Moss Brothers reign over a kingdom of music, bread in the backwoods of the deep south, all the while celebrating an album that symbolizes the anniversary of a simple reminder…that each and every one of us recognize the importance of reigning over our own family.   And, that sometimes it takes a simple song to re-connect us to those who matter most!
